About Robin
My path to yoga has been anything but straight. International moves, parenthood, and an eclectic career have taken me in many directions. Each chapter carried its own lesson, and together they’ve shaped my philosophy of yoga, movement, and life, forming a sort of thru-line I've always thought of as "the next right thing."
I grew up in the Pacific Northwest and began my career at Nike, learning the languages of branding, storytelling, and product design. Later, as a business consultant and new mother, I balanced creative, high-profile projects with the demands of raising two young children. When my husband’s career took us to Guangzhou, China, another chapter began.
Living in Asia for over a decade—six years in Guangzhou, three in Shanghai, and four in Ho Chi Minh City—I discovered what truly lit me up: teaching and yoga. In China, I taught preschool and later worked with children with special needs, experiences that taught me patience, creativity, and compassion. Teaching children showed me how curiosity and confidence can be sparked in even the smallest of moments.

In Vietnam, I immersed myself in the yoga community and turned my lifelong personal practice into a professional calling, completing my 200-hour training with Suzanne Vian at Jiva Yoga Saigon and my 300-hour training in the FluidUs Method with Carlos and Devon Tao.
With my foundational training for teaching yoga to adults well in hand, I turned back to my love of teaching children, I became a Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher, and added certifications in Pre & Post-Natal Yoga. Alongside teaching, I helped design and lead both a 200-hour yoga teacher training and a 95-hour children's yoga teacher training programs accredited by Yoga Alliance.

Now, I make my home in Honolulu, Hawai‘i, where I feel grateful to be part of an inspired yoga community. I’m an ERYT-500 with over 2,000 teaching hours and a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider. With almost 200 additional hours of various continuing education and modalities, I continue to evolve and hone my floor-based yoga offering. And I have kindled an additional love: aerial yoga. I'm now trained as a teacher in AIReal Yoga® and AIReal Restore® with Carmen Curtis, founder of AIReal Yoga®.
